Family Christmas Eve Worship
We will gather in the Ministry Center and online at 6 p.m. for our Family Service. This service is designed to be family friendly and includes a short presentation by the children, glowsticks for the kids during the candlelight singing of Silent Night, and a special Blessing of the Families. All are welcome.
Candlelight Christmas Eve Worship
This traditional candlelight Christmas Eve service takes place at 8 p.m. in the Sanctuary and online. It features the telling of the Christmas story blended with Christmas hymns. There will also be special music from the choir, a message from Pastor, and the service will conclude with the candlelight singing of Silent Night. All are welcome!
December Special Events
Christmas Giving Opportunities
Many of our Christmas giving opportunities have been completed. We gave gifts to 30 families through our Christmas Families ministry in partnership with Church for All People, Wright Elementary, the Brown Bag Lunch route, and Alvis, Inc. We also delivered a van load of gifts to the Church for All People Christmas Shop and the youth served at the event. Finally, Santa was on the go on Sunday, December 15 delivering gifts to kids in the Brown Bag Lunch neighborhood. Thank you to everyone who made all of these ministries possible! Upcoming, we will be delivering Brown Bag lunches on Friday, December 27. Details for that are below.
Brown Bag Lunches
We will be delivering lunches on Friday, December 27 while children are still out of school for winter break. Donations of juice boxes, hot chocolate packets, and ramen noodles are appreciated and can be brought to the church office. If you would like to help pack or deliver lunches, contact Denise Gorden at the church office (614-451-2825, info@nwumc.com). Donations need to be at the church by Sunday, December 15.
