Welcome to Youth Ministry
At Northwest, we believe in investing in people of all ages, and our youth ministries are no different. In this section of the website, you will find information about our age-specific youth ministries, but youth are not only involved in designated youth ministries. You will find youth volunteering with children’s ministry, helping with Vacation Bible school, delivering Brown Bag lunches, serving at Church for All People and Manna Cafe, and much more.
Youth Group
Youth Group is led by Pastor Chris Rinker and Zach Peterson, Associate Coordinator of Youth Ministries.
Youth Group is for students in 6th-12th grade. Youth meet most Sunday nights from 6:30-8pm, September-May. The typical Sunday schedule is a game followed by worship and Bible study. Youth group is led by Pastor Chris Rinker.
In addition to the regular Sunday night structure, there are game nights, service nights, and outings. We also have periodic special events such as lock-ins (overnight at the church), retreats, and summer mission trips. Youth group is intended to help youth build relationships with peers, grow in their faith, and serve the community.
Forms
There are a variety of forms that we need on file for the safety of our youth. The most common forms are linked below (simply click on the form name).
Emergency Contact
Form
This is our primary consent form and must be filled out for all youth attending events, especially when we are going away from church property.
Church Transportation Form
This form is required before church staff or volunteers are allowed to transport youth for any church function. It only needs to be filled out once per family.
Over the Counter Medication Form
This form is required for any supervising adult to give medication if a youth has a minor health issue, such as a headache, stomachache, or allergic reaction. It must be filled out annually.
Medication Release
Form
This form is only necessary if youth are bringing their own medication to an event. It is needed for both over the counter and prescription medications that youth bring with them.
